Year 3

Year 3 is an exciting and important stage in each pupil’s school journey as they make the transition from the Lower Junior to the Upper Junior site. Our priority is to ensure that every pupil feels happy, secure and ready to thrive, supported by strong pastoral care and high expectations. Pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence and independence while building securely on their prior knowledge and skills. Reading fluency remains a particular priority, alongside nurturing curiosity and a genuine love of learning across the curriculum. Pupils continue to develop their Spanish and enjoy a broad programme of enrichment, including a visit to Butser Ancient Farm, an immersive Egyptian workshop and group violin tuition for every pupil, developing musical skills and confidence in performance.
